Job summary

JCS is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the care of residential flats, office facilities, and aged-care properties in Gardens, Cape Town. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, compliance, and high maintenance standards.

You will manage day-to-day repair operations, supervise a maintenance team, and coordinate with stakeholders. The role requires extensive multi-discipline skills and strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, and facilities management.
• Ability to diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Proven ability to supervise a maintenance team and coordinate on-site with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end maintenance workflow from client calls to job completion.
• Coordinate daily team activities to ensure seamless operations across properties.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
• Provide expert guidance on maintenance techniques, materials, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on maintenance work alongside the team for repairs, installations, and upkeep.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain orderly documentation of work orders and schedules.
