Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations for our client's commercial properties in Randburg, Gauteng. This leadership role focuses on coordinating a team, ensuring building systems run optimally, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building maintenance management or a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
• Experience in managing a team and coordinating multiple projects.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of maintenance technicians, plumbers, electricians, and groundskeepers.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Respond to and oversee emergency repair requests, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Manage budgets for maintenance and repair projects, controlling costs effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and building code regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
