Placements24 in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, is seeking a Commercial Property Caretaker & Cleaner to maintain the appearance, safety and operation of our clients' commercial buildings. You will perform cleaning, light maintenance, and security checks while representing a professional, reliable service.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, drive to sites, and communicate effectively with tenants and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial cleaning, property maintenance, or a caretaker role.
• Proven ability to perform general maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with tenants and management.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Must be trustworthy, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic for the Nelspruit area.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all common areas, offices, restrooms, and exterior spaces of commercial properties.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs, reporting any significant issues.
• Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or touching up paint.
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the building's exterior, including parking lots and walkways.
• Monitor security systems and report any suspicious activity or breaches.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes for the property.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials, ordering as needed.
• Ensure all building equipment, such as HVAC filters, are maintained as per schedule.
• Respond to tenant requests for cleaning or minor maintenance promptly.
• Uphold a professional and helpful demeanor at all times while representing the property management company in Nelspruit.
