Property and Facilities Lead required in Durbanville, Cape Town.

Are you an experienced Property and Facilities Lead who takes ownership of the day-to-day maintenance operations across a large residential and commercial Property Portfolio?

Our client in Durbanville requires an effective problem-solver to supervise a team of coordinators, maintenance, and cleaning staff. Teams are regularly praised for their exceptional service in attending to tenants’ requests efficiently.

For this role, a strong technical understanding of building systems, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service is essential.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or certificate in property management or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in property maintenance or a similar role.
  3. Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  4. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  5. Proficient in property management software and tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Handle lease renewals and negotiations.
  2. Assign and manage maintenance requests.
  3. Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the Property and Facility Coordinators, maintenance team, and cleaners.
  4. Ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
  5. Monitor the quality of work performed by vendors and internal staff.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  7. Work closely with the Facilities Manager on budget and vendor management.
  8. Track and manage inventory movements.
  9. Track PPM to ensure all preventive maintenance is completed.
