About The Role

In this dual role encompassing both Leasing and Debtors Administration, you will support our property management functions.

Your main responsibilities include administering Agreements of Lease, managing associated contracts, maintaining data integrity for buildings and tenants, and fostering strong relationships with tenants and property managers.

You will also oversee the collection of rental payments to ensure healthy cash flow and control of debtor accounts.

What You Will Bring
  • Minimum Grade 12 with Accountancy as a subject.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar property management role.
  • Proficient typing skills for document handling.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and property contract systems like SAP or MDA.
  • Effective phone communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements such as FICA and POPIA.
  • Understanding of financial principles related to commissions, turnover reports, and invoices.
  • Experience in preparing lease agreements, cession documents, and reports.
What you will be doing
  • Investigate and resolve credit balances, ensuring corrections or refunds are processed monthly in collaboration with the Debtors Administrator.
  • Manage contract creation, coordinate with brokers and the FIC Department, prepare commission calculations and lease packs, and handle cession and cancellation agreements.
  • Manage lease renewals, liaise with tenants, conduct credit vetting, prepare KYC risk ratings, and handle deposits and FICA documents.
  • Update tenant data, manage tenant files, track turnover figures, handle queries, and prepare lease documents.
  • Ensure accuracy of lease documentation, including contracts and guarantees, and manage tenant vacating procedures.
  • Coordinate with meter reading companies, address tenant and broker queries, and ensure timely payments.
  • Communicate with internal staff on tenant issues, facilitate key handovers, and assist with space and municipal bill management.
