Property Accounting Team Manager (UK hours)

We foster a dynamic work environment with a hybrid model—3 days remote per week—based in our Cape Town office. Please note, this role supports the UK region and requires UK working hours (10:00 - 18:30 SA time, until 19:30 during daylight saving).
Position Overview:
As a Team Manager within the Managed Services team, you will oversee client deliverables and manage the Property Accounting team in South Africa. Your responsibilities include driving team metrics such as revenue, utilization, and engagement, as well as ensuring client satisfaction and delivery efficiency. You will provide leadership, mentorship, and training, manage work distribution, and ensure successful engagement completion. You will also participate in client meetings, handle escalations, and facilitate cross-departmental communication.
This role involves a 50/50 split between people management and functional work, subject to adjustment by leadership. The responsibilities listed are indicative and may include additional tasks.
People Management:
- Conduct regular 1:1s with team members.
- Hold team check-ins.
- Manage performance reviews, development opportunities, and skills gaps.
- Support onboarding and training of new hires.
- Manage leave schedules.
- Collaborate with other team leads and managers to foster a connected environment.
- Work with HR and Talent Acquisition on recruitment and interviews.
- Partner with regional business leaders to enhance team culture and delivery.
Client Delivery & Other Responsibilities:
- Lead complex client engagements and mentor team members.
- Ensure accurate and timely administrative reports.
- Address team queries related to core processes.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of UK property management market segments, business rules, and processes.
- Expertise in MRI's Property Management software (e.g., QubePM, Horizon, ProLease Enterprise).
- Understanding of end-user processes, ideally with prior end-user experience.
- Management experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and under deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
