About the Role
As the Projects Construction Manager, you will lead and manage a contracts department team responsible for major installations and service delivery on fire detection, gas suppression, and digital security projects. You will oversee technicians, ensure regulatory compliance, drive project profitability, and play a key part in client relationship management. This is a critical role for someone passionate about operations leadership and high-stakes project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including technicians and installer assistants.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards.
- Ensure effective customer service, maintain long-term relationships and resolve issues swiftly.
- Coordinate inspections, reporting, and on-site troubleshooting where needed.
- Monitor performance and enforce procedural compliance within the contracts department.
- Lead recruitment efforts to maintain staffing levels aligned with strategic goals.
- Drive achievement of departmental revenue targets.
- Conduct performance reviews and support continuous team development.
- Support the integration of new clients and ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- BTech or BSc in Building/Construction Management, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- 5–8 years of relevant site management experience on large-scale fire detection, gas suppression, and digital security projects
- Tactical problem-solving and confident decision-making skills
- Strong business acumen and negotiation ability
- Leadership skills with the ability to drive innovation and strategy
- Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and team development capabilities
