Description

The opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineer in Project Management - Transformers to join our team.

In this role: Lead the Operations function at the local level, with full accountability for running the day-to-day operations and exceeding customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash), across an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost.

How you'll make an impact: Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources to achieve all project goals.

Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer.

Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure the project complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Define all project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.

Ensure the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies.

Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, financials, invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow.

Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks.

Ensure formal project closure as per contractual agreements.

Coaching and Feedback: Coach and provide feedback to project staff.

Customer Acceptance & Defect Management: Organize customer acceptance of transformers and address customer complaints and defect removal.

Shipment & Installation: Supervise shipment, transport from plant to customer, and installation at the site.

Contract Management: Manage contracts associated with the project.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Project Management Certificate is an advantage, such as PMP. Over 14-16 years of proven experience in Project Management or Project Controlling in the transformer industry. Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project; basic knowledge of SAP is beneficial. Ability to read technical drawings and documentation. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
