The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineer in Project Management - Transformers to join our team.

In this role

Lead the Operations function at the local level, with full accountability for running the day-to-day operations and exceeding customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash), in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost.

How you'll make an impact

• Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee project hand-over, planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources to achieve project goals.
• Drive formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer.
• Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the project complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Define all project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.
• Ensure adherence to execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies.
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization, financials, invoicing, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
• Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks.
• Ensure formal project closure as per contractual agreements.
• Coach and provide feedback to project staff.
• Organize customer acceptance of transformers and address customer complaints.
• Supervise shipment, transport, and installation of transformers.
• Manage contracts.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Project Management Certification is an advantage.
• PMP certification preferred.
• More than 14-16 years of proven experience in Project Management or Project Controlling, specifically in the transformer industry.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project; basic knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
• Ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
