About the role

The Project Manager (PM) reports to the Head of Development, with EXCO feedback sessions during the weekly management meetings.

The PM shall be responsible for managing the development project team, coordinating, managing, and liaising with all resources involved in each project.

This includes ensuring that each project is on track regarding deliverables.

The successful individual will be responsible for planning and managing deliverables as agreed with the Head of Development, maintaining their alignment with project scope and objectives.

The role requires delivering within scope, time, and cost constraints.

The PM shall identify problems and opportunities and provide solutions to help achieve the business's goals.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. PI Planning and tracking of delivery on PI level
2. Provide day-to-day management and coordination of projects
3. Provide instructions, guidance, continuous feedback, and support as required
4. Maintain ownership of the project schedule, work packs, and related planning
5. Participate with stakeholders in defining and documenting project requirements, scope, time, and cost constraints
6. Ensure reasonable delivery of projects within constraints
7. Manage inter-department and inter-organization relationships within projects
8. Ensure accuracy, relevancy, and consistency of project documentation
9. Communicate professionally with the Project Team, Client, and stakeholders
10. Escalate issues and risks to EXCO and Management
11. Gather and interpret business requirements
12. Translate business requirements into specifications for developers
13. Recommend process improvements and efficiency practices
14. Coordinate design, implementation, and maintenance of systems
15. Oversee existing systems' upkeep

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Bachelor's degree / National Diploma or equivalent in Information Science or Project Management
• 3-5 years' experience as a Project Manager in an IT environment
• 3-5 years' experience in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis
• Excellent communication skills
• Good planning and organizing skills
• Team player
• Proven project management track record in IT Infrastructure
• Basic knowledge of servers, desktops, voice, LAN, WAN, and cloud technologies beneficial
