Project Manager / Scrum Master (CPT) (Hybrid) (Contract)

The organisation, which consolidates all person-level health data in the province to support service delivery and patient care, especially for priority health conditions such as HIV, TB, and COVID-19, is seeking to employ a skilled Project Manager / Scrum Master on a 12-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Microsoft Development experience, a relevant tertiary qualification, and/or applicable courses.

DUTIES:

The role of the Project Manager / Scrum Master encompasses many activities, including (but not limited to):

1. Project managing multiple projects utilizing the WCG Prince 2 and Project Management Body of Knowledge framework.
2. Managing project scope, activities, resourcing, budgets, and documentation.
3. Providing reports at various levels as required by the WCG.
4. Reporting and capturing on the provincial enterprise project management system.
5. Managing risks, issues, and project milestones.
6. Managing business expectations and ensuring overall project delivery.
7. Ensuring quality control of deliverables.
8. Eliciting support and authority of senior management to ensure project delivery.
9. Finding methods to effectively manage the product backlog.
10. Helping communicate the owner’s wish list to the project team.
11. Arranging and optimizing the product backlog.
12. Organising scrum events as necessary.
13. Leading and coaching scrum adoption.
14. Planning scrum implementation.
15. Implementing changes and steps to increase the team’s productivity.
16. Collaborating with other scrum masters to improve methodologies’ efficiency.
17. Guiding and training teams on agile development methodologies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or applicable courses.
• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a project manager or equivalent role.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Scrum Master or equivalent role.
• Knowledge of Scrum methodologies and DevOps will be advantageous.
