QUALIFICATIONS
Project Manager ($66,372.80 Min - $99,528.00 Max)
  • High School Diploma
  • Six (6) years of related experience in project management, construction, inspections, planning, design, permitting, construction administration and/or general civil engineering.
  • When assigned to Development Services: Six (6) years of related experience as detailed above to include at least two (2) years of experience specifically in civil commercial project and/or water management system design or review.
  • When assigned to the Capital Improvement Division: Six (6) years of related experience as detailed above to include at least two (2) years of technical drafting experience in Computer Aided Design in Drafting (CADD) and GIS software, computerized mapping and/or related field.
  • When assigned to Public Works under supervision of City Arborist: Six (6) years of related experience as detailed above to include at least two (2) years of construction administration/ or Urban Forestry program management.
  • When assigned to Stormwater Division: Six (6) years of related experience as detailed above, including at least two (2) years of specific experience with stormwater systems, stormwater regulations, and NPDES permits.
Licenses or Certifications
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages the development of project design plans and specifications, budgets, cost estimating, time scheduling, and provides coordination and inspection review.
  • Prepares Invitation to Bid packages in conjunction with Procurement and Legal Departments, reviews bid proposals for completeness, accuracy, and applicability to project budget.
  • Negotiates and manages design service contracts with outside engineering agencies and professional consultants. Researches and develops defined scope of services. Reviews expenditures and pay requests.
  • Prepares time schedules, budget reports, and technical specifications for a variety of Public Works and City municipal projects.
