About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Project Manager to lead the development and execution of significant power infrastructure projects in the Vereeniging area. This high-impact role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with a deep understanding of the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of power infrastructure projects, including substations and transmission lines.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control project costs effectively.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project-related challenges.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical) or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management , with at least 5 years focused on large-scale power infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP certification preferred).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
