Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with expertise in infrastructure development to join our client’s team in Port Elizabeth. You will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major roads, bridges and utilities projects in the Eastern Cape.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in infrastructure project management, a Civil Engineering background, strong leadership, and proficiency with PM software; professional registration is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure project management.
• Experience managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong engineering principles, construction techniques, and regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency with project management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; professional registration desirable.

Responsabilités

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with expertise in infrastructure development to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. This role is critical for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of key infrastructure projects within the region. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and government agencies to ensure projects meet specifications, deadlines, and budgetary requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and a proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and public works.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Oversee contractor performance, quality assurance, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress to ensure projects are executed efficiently and safely.
