Project Manager - Enterprise Data At Datonomy Solutions

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Project Manager with a strong background in banking and financial services.

This role is responsible for leading and delivering complex, enterprise-wide data initiatives that align with strategic business objectives.

You will manage all aspects of project delivery, from initiation through to execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-level data projects within the banking environment.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of activities and timely communication of project progress and changes.
4. Engage with business and technical stakeholders to define project objectives and success criteria.
5. Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
6. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing contingency plans where needed.
7. Ensure adherence to project management frameworks, governance standards, and compliance requirements.
8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across teams.

Key Requirements

1. Proven experience managing complex enterprise data projects, ideally in the banking or financial services sector.
2. Strong understanding of data governance, data architecture, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., POPIA, BCBS, GDPR).
3. Solid grasp of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
4. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
6. Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM) preferred.
7. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
