Great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering solution provider serving the air pollution, energy, metallurgical, manufacturing, chemical, and infrastructure industries.

Company Overview: Our client is committed to delivering professional engineering services of the highest quality. Currently, they are active with projects across South Africa, Europe, South America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Objective

The main objective of the Project Manager is to oversee projects and teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

1. Develop comprehensive project management plans.
2. Conduct risk analyses and schedule projects accordingly.
3. Identify required resources and create a functional Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
4. Plan projects, monitor progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
5. Define objectives, responsibilities, and work plans for project team members and manage the team effectively.
6. Maintain positive cash flows across all projects.
7. Execute project cost control, reporting, and administration.
8. Negotiate with suppliers and clients, gather quotes, and place orders.
9. Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, including close-out procedures.
10. Attend tender meetings and assist project and engineering teams with tenders.

Qualifications & Skills

• A recognized qualification in Project Management.
• Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience as a Project Manager.
• Technical knowledge for accurate project planning in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and solve complex problems.
• Assertiveness and effective negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with standard contract types such as NEC, FIDIC, and main customer GCCs.
