What We Are Looking For
The
Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery across a diverse portfolio of Capital Projects, ranging from urgent small-scale projects to multi-year, production and manufacturing-related, and multidisciplinary programs. The incumbent will aslo work across all phases of the project lifecycle – feasibility, planning, initiating, execution and close-out, as well as coordinating, managing and controlling efforts across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Definition & Initiation: Define project objectives, deliverables, and scope in alignment with strategic requirements.
- Planning & Control: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Ensure alignment with key milestones and program priorities.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues. Proactively develop and implement risk response strategies.
- Execution & Delivery: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and scope expectations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, and executive management.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress using designated planning and reporting tools. Track cost and schedule performance and implement corrective actions as required.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to project governance, company policies, import control regulations, and capital project procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing streamlining and execution of project and capital management processes, tools, and best practices.
What Qualifications You Should Have
- BEng / BTech in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a project management role, preferably in a production or engineering environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Formal project management training (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA) preferred.
- Strong planning, financial analysis, and risk management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel, MS Teams etc.); is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organised, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal support
