Job summary

Une entreprise de gestion de projets en infrastructure municipale recherche un chef de projet expérimenté pour gérer des projets variés, y compris la gestion des déchets solides et le développement urbain. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Former et encadrer le personnel junior dans les domaines de connaissance de la gestion de projet.

Job title : Project Manager – Cape Town (Ref CT0114)

Job Location : Western Cape, Cape Town Deadline : August 01, 2025

JG Afrika is looking for a project manager with experience in managing projects in the municipal environment, particularly in municipal infrastructure or solid waste management.

Management of projects may also extend to supporting other areas of infrastructure development, such as wastewater-related projects, community development, and engineering projects related to urbanization.

The candidate will be expected to manage construction projects during both the design and construction stages and engage with and manage client interactions.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee the design and construction stages of projects, including contract administration and preparation of project management documentation throughout the project lifecycle, such as :
  • Project Management Plans,
  • Project Execution Plans,
  • Project Programmes,
  • Project Implementation Plans,
  • Cashflow Forecasts,
  • Works Order Briefs,
  • Invoicing, and
  • Budgets.
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering design teams and stakeholder inputs,
  • Oversee technical staff and ensure task execution by key dates,
  • Prepare contract documentation and manage contract administration,
  • Train and mentor junior staff in project management knowledge areas.

Qualifications :

  • Undergraduate Degree in the Built Environment (BSc, BEng)
  • PrCPM with SACPCMP (Essential)
  • Valid driver’s license (Essential)

Experience :

  • 5-10 years’ post-graduation experience in project management within municipal infrastructure disciplines.

Knowledge Areas :

  • Knowledge of solid waste management and infrastructure design, including lined disposal facilities and refuse transfer stations (Advantageous)
  • Knowledge of municipal environment and related processes (Essential)
  • Knowledge of construction project management principles (Essential)
  • Knowledge of construction administration including GCC 2015, JBCC, or FIDIC contracts (NEC advantageous)
