Project Manager - Aerospace

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to manage high-impact projects related to gas turbine and missile systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, develop, and manage aerospace engineering projects, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
2. Provide interim and quarterly status reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
3. Contribute to the development of long-term budgets for manpower, training, facilities, and equipment.
4. Ensure a comprehensive understanding of project history, status, and future challenges to meet contractual milestones.
5. Build and expand the capabilities of the Project Management Group, transforming it into an efficient office that supports all project management functions and requirements.
6. Lead, guide, and integrate a team of experienced engineers to achieve project goals.
7. Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals for spin-off projects and new business opportunities.
8. Take initiative in creating and improving tools, techniques, and processes to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to technical specifications.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably a Masters in Mechanical Engineering).
2. At least 5 years of experience managing engineering projects.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report effectively to senior management and clients.
4. Proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

1. Formal project management qualification or certification.
2. Strong aerospace or mechanical engineering background and understanding.
