Position Overview
Project Managers at Vera play a key role in delivering impactful, tech-driven solutions to social impact organizations. They lead consulting project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure high-quality outcomes from sales to delivery. Responsibilities include developing project plans, managing budgets and timelines, and steering overall strategy for each client engagement.
This fast-paced environment requires Project Managers to be highly organized, adaptable, and confident in managing multiple projects, clients, and teams. Effective professional communication across all channels is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, scope, and risks to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
- Ensure Quality and Client Satisfaction: Oversee project teams to deliver high-quality outputs and ensure positive client experiences.
- Communicate Professionally and Clearly: Maintain trust through clear, proactive communication with clients and internal teams.
- Protect Vera’s Commercial Interests: Recognize and escalate risks early, identify opportunities for further engagement, and manage resourcing across projects.
- Manage People and Teams: Support team performance, well-being, and professional growth, ensuring balanced workloads.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Lead meetings and check-ins with teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to Growth and Innovation: Support business development, stay current with tools and best practices, and contribute to RFP responses and project scoping.
Qualifications and Experience (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in any field, driven by passion rather than specific studies
- Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, PMI-ACP, Scrum)
- 3–5+ years of experience managing client-facing projects
- Experience in consulting or fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Proven skills in managing timelines, budgets, scope, and risks
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and using project management tools
- Excellent communication skills, including managing difficult conversations and stakeholder expectations
- Experience mentoring or managing team members
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Relationship-building and teamwork skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Technological proficiency and data aptitude
