About the Opportunity

A leading financial services group is undertaking a major transformation of its finance function, aimed at improving reporting efficiency, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and modernising planning and consolidation processes. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of key finance workstreams, including Financial Consolidation, Planning, and Analytics.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, and is well-suited to a project leader who brings strong structure, stakeholder alignment, and proven transformation delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives across finance capabilities (consolidation, planning, reporting).
  • Partner with finance leaders, business analysts, and technical teams to translate strategic objectives into delivery roadmaps.
  • Manage the implementation of data and systems solutions that support enhanced financial insight and compliance.
  • Own and maintain project plans, delivery schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress and report against key milestones, ensuring stakeholder visibility throughout.
  • Resolve issues, mitigate risks, and adapt plans as necessary to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated success leading finance transformation or ERP-related projects in complex, regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting processes, including:
  • Management reporting
  • Planning and forecasting
  • Regulatory and statutory compliance
  • Experience in the financial services industry (insurance, investments, or lending) is highly beneficial.
  • Adept at leading Agile or hybrid delivery environments and fostering collaboration across business and IT.
  • Strong communicator with a structured, solution-oriented approach.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ project management experience, with a focus on finance systems or transformation.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale financial services or corporate finance environments.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, financial planning tools, and reporting systems.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, AgilePM) is an advantage.
