Job summary

Datacentrix is seeking a Project Manager to own projects from handover to close-out, coordinating resources, sub-contractors and suppliers to deliver on time and within scope. The role focuses on budgets, risk management and client communication to ensure profitable delivery.

You will lead multiple projects, manage dispersed teams, monitor progress against milestones, and provide clear status reporting while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Matric and professional certifications in project delivery.
• PMP, PRINCE2 and ITIL Foundation required.
• Relevant ICT infrastructure certifications preferred.
• Health and safety / construction Regulations training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ ICT project delivery experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a Project Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience delivering projects from handover to close-out.
• Experience managing multiple projects, teams, suppliers.
• Strong financial management: budgets, forecasting, margins, invoicing.
• Experience with client and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of awarded projects from sales handover through to project closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, programmes, schedules and key milestones.
• Coordinate internal resources, technical teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage project mobilisation and ensure all required resources, materials and documentation are available.
• Manage supplier commitments, procurement requirements and delivery dates.
• Monitor project progress against agreed scope, programme and milestones.
• Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and financial performance.
• Protect project GP and identify potential cost overruns early.
• Drive project completion, client acceptance, handover and timely billing.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Manage scope changes and ensure any commercial impact is identified and controlled.
• Ensure quality requirements, client specifications and the company standards are maintained.
• Manage testing, commissioning, snag resolution and final project handover.
• Ensure all project documentation, test results, as-built information and client sign-offs are completed.
• Conduct regular project progress meetings.
• Provide accurate project status, financial, risk and delivery reporting.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage the performance of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Escalate risks or issues that may impact delivery, cost, quality or client satisfaction.

Datacentrix is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful delivery of the projects from sales handover through execution, quality control, completion, client handover and billing. The role will take ownership of project schedules, resources, subcontractors, suppliers, risks, documentation and client communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and profitably.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Matric
• PMP – Project Management Professional, PRINCE2, ITIL Foundation
