Job Description
Description: You will:
- Plan, control, and manage project deliverables to ensure that customer needs are met from order receipt through to final acceptance.
- Manage the efforts of team members and third-party vendors.
- Manage the integration or delivery of deliverables directly to the customer, or to support a major enterprise-wide project.
- Report directly to the Manager, Project Management located in South Africa, Rustenburg.
Required education:
- Further education in business administration or operations is an advantage.
- Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
Experience required for Professional Level:
- Industry application knowledge is a prerequisite.
- Proficiency with MS Project and all MS Office software products (Excel, Access, Word).
- Typically, 3-5 years of experience in software, process automation, or application engineering capacity.
- Minimum 3 years of proven documented project management experience.
- Contract management experience is an advantage (e.g., NEC / FIDIC).

- Prepare and present quotes, sales proposals, and contracts in compliance with company standards, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Consult with other departments on issues like pricing, product specifications, warranties, and product adaptation.
- Participate in developing business team plans.
- Manage project execution within margin targets and oversee resource demand and financial aspects.
- Lead efforts of project personnel, mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Lead project teams, often comprising up to 30 engineers, and coordinate with support teams.
- Manage resource scheduling, negotiate change orders, and serve as the primary customer contact.
- Represent Rockwell Automation for assigned projects, managing up to 1 million euros and a portfolio of 20 projects.
- Manage subcontracts and ensure project schedule, margin, and customer satisfaction targets are met.
- Build partnerships with key customers and lead efforts in preparing commercial strategies for complex applications.
- Follow all applicable procedures and complete projects to quality standards.
- Maintain project files and collaborate with proposal teams for future projects.
- Take primary P&L responsibility for managed projects and manage all aspects of project success.
