Job Description

To work as a liaison among stakeholders, using a set of tasks and techniques, to plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects.

To assume accountability for the entire project scope, project team, resources, and the success or failure of the project.

To partner to enable the planning, coordination, and execution of projects within the organisation and delivery against the business strategy.

To work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, project resources/managers, and other enablement stakeholders to ensure project objectives are understood, scoped, planned, and outlined in a structured project format to meet delivery timelines and stay within budget.

To assist and drive the management of project resources, track progress, and provide administrative support to facilitate smooth project operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Assist with the development and roll-out of strategy and business plans.
  • Prepare for and facilitate workshops to develop strategy tactics for execution and the development of new/evolving strategies.
  • Gather relevant local and international research on the functional area, e.g., competitor analysis, sector research, etc.
  • Prioritize relevant information to understand specific issues and trends in the broader environment; know who to contact for specific information.
  • Provide decision support through data gathering, analysis, and presenting considerations to stakeholders.
  • Follow a predetermined project approach to progress through phases such as initiation, analysis, design, and build.
  • Engage with project team members to brainstorm solutions and make recommendations to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources, including scheduling meetings and maintaining documentation.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support risk management by identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support decision-making.
  • Support business case development and planning for projects.
  • Utilize project management software to track and report initiatives.
  • Assist in presenting project status reports and communications materials.
  • Coordinate with team members and external partners for alignment and collaboration.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing files and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Support project management best practices and process improvements.
  • Assist in resolving project issues and conflicts through communication and negotiation.
  • Manage project budgets and expenditures.
  • Support quality assurance activities to meet standards.
  • Undertake continuous training and knowledge upgrade to provide proactive service.
