Job Title: PROJECT MANAGER – SVS GBP, SOUTH AFRICA

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Grinding, Bulk Pyro, and Stirred Mills Services division, focusing on projects in Africa and globally within a project management pool.

The professional will manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial stages such as Handover and Kick-Off Meeting to budget control and lessons learned documentation.

Required qualifications include PMP Certification, risk management experience, SAP expertise, and knowledge of bulk materials handling equipment.

This role reports to the Manager, Project Management, SVS, GBP, and is primarily based in Centurion, Gauteng.

Team You Belong To

You will join a dedicated Project Management team focused on profitability, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and scope fulfillment. Currently, we are working on global mining projects, collaborating with stakeholders across regions including South America, NCA, EMEA, and APAC. Our team culture emphasizes customer focus, high ambition, teamwork, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects of varying complexity, ensuring SAP activation and scope allocation.
• Coordinate with global teams in supply chain, engineering, procurement, and logistics.
• Create and oversee SAP purchase requisitions, maintaining budgets and financial flow.
• Document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings, reporting progress, risks, and actions in Spanish and English.
• Manage client and supplier relationships, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality deliveries.
• Implement risk mitigation and ensure compliance with standards.
• Protect business interests and project profitability.
• Identify project requirements early and ensure contractual compliance.

Candidate Profile

Matric, Engineering degree, MBA in Project Management preferred, with at least 10 years’ experience in project management within the African mining sector. Experience in international projects, proficiency in SAP, stakeholder management, and knowledge of African mining regulations are essential. Willingness to travel and work in multicultural environments is required.

Skills and Competencies

Fluency in Portuguese; French is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, independence, and results-oriented mindset. Willingness to travel.
