Key Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring client value, retention, risk containment, and project profitability.
- Develop scope of works and detailed specifications.
- Communicate project plans with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage project progress and budgets.
- Ensure projects meet milestones within timeframes, quality, and cost requirements.
- Retain and develop client relationships; review projects and develop new strategies based on experience.
- Manage project budgets, including budgeting, costing, estimating, and planning.
- Compile scope of works and prepare costing for project resources.
- Invoice projects monthly as per contractual agreements and re-negotiate fees when necessary.
- Manage scope creep and budgets against projected costs.
- Provide financial reports to stakeholders.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risks; make decisions on behalf of clients and the business during project execution.
Quality Management
- Manage contractors to deliver high-quality, professional services.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Implement management protocols to ensure productivity and project quality.
Reports
- Report project status to stakeholders.
- Manage client and contractor correspondence and minutes.
Contracts Management
- Familiarize with JBCC, COIDA, NEC, FIDIC, GCC contracts.
- Ensure strict adherence to contracts and manage queries accordingly.
Compile Tenders
- Prepare tender documents and draft policies and finances for new tenders.
Business Development and Sales
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities and prospective clients.
- Represent the company at industry events and network to find opportunities.
- Develop relationships, present proposals, and submit tenders.
- Act as a professional contact for clients on project management projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12; Diploma/Degree in Built Environment.
- Minimum 3 years project management experience on multiple projects.
- Experience in project planning, resource leveling, tender compilation, and costing.
- Registered with SACPCMP as a CPM or on track for registration.
