Job description

Our client is a global EPC company specializing in hydropower and renewable energy ventures worldwide.

They boast a portfolio of over 3GW in installed solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity.

Their current undertaking is a MW solar PV project scheduled to commence in May, situated in the Free State region.

This is a two-year fixed-term contract.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Review the relevant settlement materials of the project to ensure that the settlement materials meet the national fiscal and taxation requirements of South Africa.
  2. Collect financial information related to the project and register the ledger.
  3. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of various financial data.
  4. Prepare daily bank accounts to ensure the safety of project funds.
  5. Check the financial data with the firm, calculate the project tax burden, and urge the firm to declare all taxes on time.
  6. Cooperate with human resources and the firm to complete the salary calculation of project personnel and review the calculation and declaration of individual tax and employee insurance.
  7. Put forward reasonable and effective suggestions on the project financial work and improve the project financial work.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  1. National Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
  2. 3+ years of professional experience in an engineering environment.
  3. Experience in new energy projects is preferred.
  4. Familiar with South Africa's fiscal and taxation laws and regulations.
