We are partnering with a leading independent power producer in Africa, seeking an Asset Financial Modeler to join their dynamic finance team in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and manage complex project finance models for operating assets and assets under construction.
• Support the conversion of investment case models into operational models, integrating actual performance data.
• Assist in the design of group-wide consolidated models aligned with long-term business planning.
• Provide financial analysis to appraise asset improvements, capital expenditure, and corporate valuations.
• Liaise with lenders to support reporting, disbursement requests, and compliance obligations.
• Deliver insights to support Investment Committee and Board-level decision-making.
• Coach and provide guidance to local asset teams on financial modelling best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building and reviewing financial models for project finance, complex transactions, or asset valuations.
• Strong Excel (including VBA) and financial modelling expertise, with a solid grasp of best practice principles.
• Background in power, infrastructure, or renewable energy industries is highly desirable.
• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), MBA, or equivalent financial certification.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Experience in African markets will be advantageous.
