Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a seasoned Project Executive. This role will be responsible for running complex programs and projects; following standard procedures for the deployment of projects and delivering the streams on time and on budget, as well as delivering cost savings.

Job Description

Job Objectives

• Defines requirements and plans the project life cycle deployment for Clicks Merchandise and Supply Chain Optimisation, following standard methodologies for management and deployment of projects, and managing the implementation of the projects across the group.
• Responsible for overall Risk, Issues, Dependencies and Decision Log, ensuring contingency planning and risk mitigation.
• Assess and authorise project change requests based on impact to time, quality, cost and scope.
• Accountable for overall resource plan across all work streams.
• Directs week to week activities of the work streams.
• Stakeholder management and overall Project Communication Plan.
• Designs and maintains project and technical documentation.
• Management of overall budget.
• Accountable for ensuring UAT Sign-off & approval to proceed to deploy to production.
• Delivers & ensures implementation of a change and communication plan for the group and specifically for the impacted parties.
• Ensures program governance viz a viz program management, due diligence on deliverables and delivered product, decision approvals and quality management.
• Performs team assessment and evaluations.

Job Related Knowledge (Essential)

• Developing Budgets, budget management and reporting.
• Proven ability to balance multiple daily tasks.
• Ability to work well independently and under pressure, as well as be highly responsive to business needs.
• Familiarity with Retail Merchandising and Supply Chain systems.
• Project Methodologies.
• Business Analysis.
• JDA systems.
• Staff scheduling and management (Desirable).

Job Related Skills (Essential)

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Project management and business analysis skills including process documentation, and requirements gathering.
• Strong focus on teamwork and ability to manage relationships across multiple departments.
• Organization and planning skills are critical.
• Strong decision making skills – to manage project risks.
• Confidence to put the project before all levels of the organisation’s requirements.

Job Experience (Essential)

• 5 years cumulative program/complex project experience preferably as a program manager, however project management of a complex project will also be considered – with a proven track record.
• Prior experience to be either roles within complex project delivery or management roles within a large logistics environment.
• Demonstrated track record of working effectively as a project leader of a cross functional team.
• Supply Chain exposure (Desirable).

Education

• 3 year Degree or Diploma (Essential).
• Completion of a formal project management methodology (Desirable).
• Business Analysis Qualification (Desirable).
