Project Engineer (m / f / d) – Renewable Energy & Energy Storage

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Start: As soon as possible

Your Role

As Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, planning, and implementation of hybrid energy and storage projects. You will develop tailored technical solutions and support project execution across the globe.

Responsibilities include:

1. Designing battery storage, PV, and hybrid systems
2. Creating project plans, diagrams, and technical documentation
3. Coordinating suppliers and subcontractors during project execution
4. Providing technical support to clients and internal teams
5. Preparing functional specifications and system descriptions
6. Collaborating with sales and project managers to develop customer-specific solutions

Your Profile

• Technical degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields
• Experience with AutoCAD / NanoCAD and MS Office, ideally also MS Project
• Solid understanding of control systems, PV, and energy technology
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 50%)
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
