Job description

As a project engineer you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform engineering design and costing for chemical dispensing system and water and wastewater treatment system.
  • Manage the timeline and budgetary cost set for the project management, ensuring compliance with formal contractual obligations and performance criteria.
  • Serve as a primary, day to day customer point of contact for projects, communicating directly with the applicable members of the Nalco sales representatives.
  • Maintain excellence in written and oral communication with customers and applicable Company contacts.
  • Work with project developers and field organization representatives to meet the deadlines in all related work assigned.
  • Perform troubleshooting at the field or remotely for Company supplied chemical dispensing and water treatment systems.
  • Conduct job safety analysis and risk assessment prior to all site work and ensure sub-contractors adhere to safe working practices and design specifications.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of the industry by monitoring new developments, new products, new research, new concepts, etc. in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 5-6 years of industry experience (i.e., Water or Wastewater treatment, Oil & Gas / Pharmaceutical).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD software will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful and a team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic & challenging environment.
