Purpose of the role:
- Manage engineering interfaces during planning and implementation of the MCWAP-2A project.
- Execute project engineering activities in accordance with the project implementation methodology, approved designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage engineering activities and deliverables, ensuring integration with other disciplines within project objectives.
- Oversee contracted service providers on site.
- Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction regulations.
Key performance areas:
- Participate in procurement of professional services and construction contracts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast-based cost reports for internal and stakeholder reporting.
- Manage engineering activities and interfaces within professional services and construction contracts. Oversee project change management processes against cost baselines and contractual commitments.
- Ensure integrated engineering, environmental, and contractual solutions aligned with project objectives. Maintain high standards of cost reporting, accurately track and report changes, risks, and contingencies.
- Manage project engineering risks within the EPWR framework.
- Maintain and develop internal and external liaison.
- Ensure the project team follows safe working practices and adheres to HSE plans and procedures.
- Develop, mentor, and coach team members to ensure performance and achievement of project objectives.
Minimum requirements:
- B Engineering degree.
- 8 years of experience in implementing large-scale bulk water engineering projects, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role managing contracts and budgets.
