Job description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections to survey customers' needs and requirements. They should be able to develop a comprehensive scope of work per project based on customers' specifications and site inspections.

The Project Engineer must be willing to assist with the implementation of the scope of work at various phases. They are responsible for budget management throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Pre-Sales:

  • Supervising the quotation process
  • Receiving quotes from Sales and Service in alignment with FGDS BDM
  • Calculating cost prices (including installation and project management costs) for non-Draeger items
  • Checking quotations and calculations
  • Carrying out project-related drawing work
  • Aligning product adjustments with FGDS BDM
  • Creating time schedules
  • Selecting suppliers and negotiating prices and conditions for third-party components
  • Compiling accurate Bill of Quantities for each project

After Sales:

  • Supervising projects
  • Ensuring correct registration of projects in the system and company folder
  • Monitoring project quality and progress
  • Overseeing work and materials flow
  • Visiting project sites and attending construction and site meetings
  • Facilitating procurement of project-related goods and services
  • Monitoring price agreements and margins on third-party items
  • Evaluating projects and suggesting process improvements
  • Assisting with installations when required
  • Ensuring Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and handovers are carried over the project lifecycle

Closing and Handover:

  • Managing technical delivery of projects
  • Monitoring residual and returned materials
  • Collaborating with the Project Coordinator to ensure proper handover
  • Compiling all handover documents
  • Ensuring all handover documents are signed and completed by the customer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) in Electrical Engineering
  • Project Management qualification is advantageous
  • 2-3 years of experience in project management
  • Deep technical affinity with solutions for production-related environments
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Software or E-plan
  • English language skills
  • VCA certification
  • BA4/BA5 electrical safety certification
