Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in Control and Instrumentation for oil and gas projects to be based in Rwanda.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing a major engineering project in Rwanda, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Must be willing to be out of the country for extended periods
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in C&I engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven track record in managing and executing C&I projects.
• Proficient in C&I engineering principles, practices, and standards.
• Familiarity with industry standards
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage C&I engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including design, procurement, and construction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support on C&I systems including instrumentation, control systems, and safety systems.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Conduct technical evaluations, risk assessments, and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
• Prepare and present project status reports, technical proposals, and progress updates.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the project team.
• Ensure all project activities comply with HSE regulations and best practices.
