Qualifications

• Registered professional engineer with ECSA.

Job description

My client based in Durban is currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join them on a permanent basis

IT / Finance

Responsibilities

• Planning, design, construction of multi-disciplinary petrochemical projects from inception to completion
• Ensures projects are completed within the time and cost limit as well as to the agreed specification
• Compiling PandIDs, HAZOP/MOC studies, budgets and Schedules for capital expenditure projects
• Managing design, draughting and in-house fabrication of piping, pressure equipment, structures, heat exchangers, distillation columns and vessels
• Management of local and international contractors and suppliers
• Drafting RFQ's, BOQ, review of various orders, contract adjudications and contract administration (NEC, JBCC)
  
  

Experience

• BSC Mech Eng
• Registered professional engineer with ECSA
• Project Management diploma
• Minimum 10 years engineering in the petroleum industry of which 5 years in a project management role
• OHS Act, ASME B31 (Piping). SANS 347, SANS 10089-1 and ASME VIII standards
• Essential- Email, Excel, Word, MS Project, AutoCAD (Intermediate)
• Good knowledge and proven experience in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industry
• Knowledge and experience of working within a decentralised corporate, entrepreneurial, multicultural environment.
• Ability to travel nationally and own transport.
