Project Developer - Renewable Energy (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

• Development of Renewable Energy projects (Solar, Wind, BESS and Hybrid Projects) throughout South Africa.
• Identification and evaluation of new project opportunities – greenfield and acquisition.
• Contribute to strategic planning of project pipeline.
• Representing the company towards landowners, authorities, partners, local communities and key stakeholders.
• Support offtake development & PPA discussions.
• Management of project budgets.
• Management of external consultants appointed to assigned projects.

Your Profile:

• Must have (minimum 2 years) experience in Renewable Energy project development.
• A good understanding of the full project development cycle, including technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements of Renewable projects.
• Self-driven, motivated, hands-on mentality and well-organised.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively, nationally & internationally.
• Great written and oral communication skills and comfortable presenting.
• Proficient in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) and common project management tools.
• Experience with GIS.
• Tertiary education in a technical or commercial field.
• Business fluent in English; additional South African languages are a plus.
