Network1 is seeking a Project Controller to partner with project teams and leaders, delivering critical financial oversight and strategic support across multiple projects.

You will drive project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and help shape better business outcomes through actionable financial insights and robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Control, Cost Control, or Project Finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and project accounting experience.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills essential.
• Experience in complex project-based environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate project forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor project costs, revenue, profitability, and performance through the lifecycle.
• Calculate and manage Work in Progress (WIP).
• Identify financial risks, variances, and trends; recommend corrective actions.
• Support project teams with financial planning and decision-making.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure targets are met.
• Manage month-end financial controls, accruals, provisions, and reporting.

The Role

As Project Controller, you will act as the financial business partner to project management teams, ensuring projects remain financially healthy, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

Financial Analysis & Project Control

• Preparing and maintaining accurate project forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections


• Monitoring project costs, revenue, profitability, and performance throughout the project lifecycle


• Calculating and managing Work in Progress (WIP)


• Identifying financial risks, variances, and trends while recommending corrective actions


• Supporting project teams with financial planning and decision-making


• Monitoring project KPIs and ensuring targets are achieved


• Managing month-end financial controls, accruals, provisions, and reporting processes

Risk Management & Governance

• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards


• Monitoring project financial performance and proactively addressing risks


• Supporting credit management, invoicing, and financial contractual compliance


• Assisting with internal and external audit requirements


• Maintaining strong financial controls and accurate project master data

Continuous Improvement

• Acting as the bridge between Finance and Operations


• Translating financial data into actionable business insights


• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and project performance


• Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partnering closely with Project Managers and operational teams


• Supporting decision-making through insightful financial reporting


• Presenting project performance information to key stakeholders


• Ensuring accurate and timely management reporting

What We're Looking For:

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field


• Minimum 5 years' experience in Project Control, Cost Control, or Project Finance


• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and project accounting experience
