Duties & Responsibilities

1. Execute key strategic projects from conceptualization to implementation.
2. Implement contracting concepts beneficial to Mondi and related industries.
3. Engage in audits to identify improvements in local engineering companies.
4. Coordinate and record activities related to project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
5. Manage mill-wide shutdowns, ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards.
6. Report on major shutdown KPIs and compile learning reports.
7. Analyze and interpret project data, updating systems for statutory compliance.
8. Prepare documentation for audits and project reporting.
9. Contribute project inputs to departmental plans.
10. Maintain compliance certificates.

Candidate Profile

• BSc / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Additional qualification in Project Management (e.g., PMBOK) is advantageous.
• Member of ECSA or SACPCMP preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in plant/equipment maintenance in heavy industry.
• Supervisory and team leadership experience required.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6, or similar software is advantageous.
• Valid South African Driver's license.
