Job Description

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for leading project planning functions, providing competent people, systems, and procedures for proposals, studies, and projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning: Accountable for planning, cost engineering, and capital estimating within projects. Ensures procedures and systems are established and maintained. Manages planning, cost engineering, and capital estimating services to client and project satisfaction. Defines work packaging and coding strategies to meet project requirements. Maintains communication lines for project controls. Monitors and audits project controls, implementing mitigation actions as needed. Supports contractual claims and disputes. Reports on project progress, including progress sl- curves, histograms, and earned value analysis. Recruits and mentors project controls team.
Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • Certified Cost Professional or Scheduling Professional (or equivalent)
  • Degree in business, engineering, or relevant field
  • Minimum 10 years' experience on large projects
  • Hands-on experience in project costing or planning
  • Understanding of PMBOK principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Ability to implement systems, processes, and procedures
