Job description

Contexte et environnement

Activity: management of allocate projects with the external resources such as contractors, suppliers of equipment, consultants and approvals and inspections by the local authorities.

Organization: engineering is a service provider to operations and marketing departments. Legal and HSEQ: Local and Group regulations and standards to comply with.

Activités

As a Project Engineer, you would be responsible for the following:

  • Depots, Service Stations and Commercial Customer Installations – construction and engineering.
  • Conduct project feasibility studies for engineering and construction projects; prepare documentation, drawings, and recommendations for project execution.
  • Submit and obtain approvals from national and local authorities; prepare and secure approval for MOC documentation.
  • Guide draftsmen or consultants in preparing construction drawings.
  • Participate in negotiations of equipment supply and engineering contracts with service providers, in collaboration with the purchasing division.
  • Plan, organize, control, and execute field construction activities within the specified time and budget.
  • Ensure incorporation of local legislation, Group standards, and best practices into all engineering and construction projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate variations related to scope changes and associated costs.
  • Provide regular project updates to the Technical Manager, including explanations for any delays.
  • Manage project documentation, prepare monthly expenditure reports, post assets under construction to the asset register, and control all legal, municipal, and EIA approvals to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety of personnel and property on sites.
  • Handle daily urgent operations such as replacing defective equipment, addressing safety issues, and administrative requests.
  • Conduct regular asset checks, including annual technical visits with customer representatives, and develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance according to schedules.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure maintenance quality and compliance.
  • Manage maintenance contracts aligned with SLA agreements.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to HSEQ requirements.
  • Handle maintenance outside of general contracts (e.g., NEMO).
  • Anticipate investments for replacing obsolete equipment to improve availability and reduce costs.
  • Implement safety, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance measures.
  • Advise dealers on technical and regulatory obligations, including cost estimates for upgrades.
  • Manage budgets, place orders, and validate invoice payments according to purchasing rules.
  • Maintain good internal and external customer relations.
  • Participate in asset sales and oversee site dismantling in coordination with HSEQ, General Trade, and Mining divisions for remediation.
  • Update technical and asset data (Synoptics, drawings, inventories).
  • Analyze HSEQ audit reports and implement corrective actions with business owners.
  • Train site operators on equipment use and housekeeping best practices.
  • Support Contracts Manager in Business Performance Reviews.
  • Manage the AUC process.
HSSE

Manage and minimize HSE risks within your area by ensuring:

  • Compliance with all HSE policies, rules, guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Promotion of a safe working environment and contribution to HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies.
  • Identification and enforcement of HSE competency requirements within your area.
Profil du candidat

As a Project Engineer, you should possess:

  • B.Sc. or B.Tech qualification in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or relevant experience.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience in end-to-end project management for engineering projects.
  • Technical knowledge and application skills.
  • High autonomy and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently.
  • Proactive and available at all times.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work within a team involving customers, purchasers, and head-office organizations.
  • English as the working language.
