Job description

My client based in Cape Town (North) is currently looking for a Project Support Administrator to join them on an independent contract basis (12 months).

Location: Cape Town based / Hybrid work model

Industry: Financial Services

Responsibilities
  1. Provide support and guidance on project management processes, procedures, tools, and techniques to programme managers, project managers, and their teams.
  2. Support includes the use of project management software, development, production, and maintenance of plans (including time, resource, cost, and exception plans).
  3. Track and report on the progress and performance of ICT projects, including those performed by third parties under contract.
  4. Maintain programme and project files, analyze performance, maintain metric data and estimating models.
  5. Administer project change control, including the use of configuration management systems.
  6. Provide administrative support to project managers and teams, including minute-taking, diary management, meeting scheduling and preparation.
  7. Contribute to the PMO continuous improvement plan by updating project reports.
  8. Utilize PMO toolsets effectively, including updating issue, risk, and dependency logs.
  9. Engage stakeholders effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Collaborate continuously with towers and clients.
  11. Adhere to service management procedures, protocols, and project governance.
  12. Track project budgets, prepare reports, projections, handle invoicing, and resolve queries.
  13. Manage project resources' time accurately.
  14. Handle hardware, software, and stationery requests related to the project.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant accredited courses; relevant diploma is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in formal project administration, preferably in IT software development projects.
Skills
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle and methodology

  • Advanced knowledge of project tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project, JIRA
