Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a hands-on Project Accountant to support a divestiture in a hybrid, fixed-term role based in Woodlands, Johannesburg.

You will coordinate finance workstreams, perform month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting while maintaining strong controls and liaising with SARS and regulators.

The ideal candidate has a BCom in accounting and at least five years of financial accounting experience, with project-management and ERP/SAP skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience with SARS and regulatory compliance.
• Project-management experience and ERP/SAP skills.

• Support the Finance Manager with project workstreams for the divestiture.
• Coordinate finance activities, track milestones, and manage dependencies.
• Provide hands-on project accounting support and ensure accurate accounting.
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Maintain strong controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
