Job description

The Housing Development Agency (HDA) is a national public sector development agency with the mandate to identify, acquire, prepare, and develop suitable land for human settlements.

The Agency also manages programmes and projects related to housing and human settlements.

HDA collaborates with stakeholders including government at all levels, communities, developers, and financiers.

Established by an Act of Parliament, the Agency reports to the Minister of Human Settlements through its Board.

We are offering a 6-month temporary contract for the position of Programme Administrator: Corporate Support.

Location: Head Office, Johannesburg

Reporting Line: Head of Corporate Support

Main Purpose: To support the Corporate Support Department by coordinating programmes and projects and ensuring departmental operational and administrative functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Corporate Support Programmes:
    • Develop and implement office management systems for efficiency.
    • Assist in managing programme implementation and documentation.
    • Create accessible information systems for users.
    • Ensure smooth operation of departmental programmes and projects.
  2. Document Management:
    • Oversee document storage and maintenance.
    • Manage the IMIS system and monitor data updates.
    • Maintain stakeholder databases.
    • Support quality management and personnel file audits.
    • Ensure effective document flow and approval tracking.
  3. Financial Planning and Management:
    • Assist with budgeting processes and monitoring expenditures.
    • Support procurement and invoice management.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
  4. General Departmental Support:
    • Manage onboarding documentation.
    • Provide operational support and facilitate stakeholder relationships.
    • Coordinate meeting logistics and support audit preparations.
    • Perform reception duties and ad-hoc tasks as required.
  5. Reporting:
    • Provide operational feedback and compile reports.
    • Maintain accurate records and statistics.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent; post-matric qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience in office administration and coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

Remuneration: R19,000 per month (all-inclusive)
