This role involves comprehensive programme management, orchestrating complex initiatives to meet the vital needs of governmental departments dedicated to public health and infrastructure in the Western Cape.
Responsibilities
- The role involves comprehensive project management, ensuring adherence to cashflow and programme timelines.
- Responsibilities include drafting cashflows, managing deadlines, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation and server information.
- A key focus is on procurement management, along with overseeing the appointments and performance of both consultants and contractors.
- The position requires strict compliance with all processes and protocols, including managing various contract types like JBCC and NEC.
- The role involves financial oversight, such as checking invoices, reviewing architectural reports, and participating in the Bid Evaluation Committee.
- This person is responsible for ensuring successful Auditor General audits and making timely escalations on project problems.
- Finally, the role demands accurate and precise deliverables while fostering effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture and Pr.Arch professional registration with SACAP.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Industry Standards: Profound knowledge of CIDB, PROCSA, fee scales, and consultant appointment processes is essential.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze information, ask probing questions, and solve problems effectively is crucial.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Success hinges on building strong relationships, interacting well with people, and communicating information articulately.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in the Construction Industry.
- Experience in contracts (JBCC and NEC) administration and financial administration.
- 3 year Post-Registration experience a must.
- Experience in Project/Programme Management is a bonus.
