A leading South African university is seeking a Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. The Department of Business Management is part of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at Stellenbosch University (SU), a research-intensive university where we advance knowledge in service of society. The Department conducts research and provides teaching in the broader fields of Financial Management, Investment Management, Marketing Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management and Strategic Management. Duties :

  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
  • Supervision of postgraduate students.
  • Participating in Departmental, Faculty and University activities.
  • Self-initiated research.
  • Providing academic leadership in the Department.

Requirements :

  • PhD degree in Entrepreneurship or a closely related field, with a specialisation in Entrepreneurship.
  • In-depth knowledge and a demonstrated understanding of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
  • Extensive lecturing experience in Entrepreneurship or closely related modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • The ability to supervise postgraduate students.
  • An extensive record of research published in accredited scholarly journals.
  • Proven academic leadership in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
  • Recommendations :

  • A record of scholarly publications in accredited subject journals.
  • Practical industry experience in a related environment.
  • The ability to teach in English.
  • Knowledgable about entrepreneurship development on the African continent.
  • A network of international academics in entrepreneurship.
  • Commencement of duties :

    1 January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
