Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in George is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to prepare structural designs and lead a team of junior professionals. This role requires proficiency in structural analysis tools and a strong commitment to quality and client satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have a B Eng/BSc in Civil Engineering, be ECSA registered, and possess over 5 years of relevant experience in commercial and public infrastructure.

• ECSA Registered as Professional / Technologist.
• Minimum 5+ years post-registration experience.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Prepare structural designs for building and water-retaining structures

Conduct condition assessments and structural inspections

Lead and manage junior engineers and draftspersons

Engage directly with clients and consultants

Oversee project timelines, quality control, and deliverables

Support tender documentation and technical reporting

Ensure compliance with local and international design codes

Minimum Qualifications

B Eng / BSc or B.Tech Civil Engineer.

ECSA Registered (as Professional / Technologist).

Minimum 5+ years post-registration experience

Buildings, reservoirs, tanks, commercial and public infrastructure

Prokon, AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), MS Office

Structural design and analysis tools

Team player with strong communication skills

Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English

Independent, detail-oriented, and quality-focused

Must be living in the Garden Route, or be prepared to move to George / Mossel Bay

Package & Remuneration

Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
