A leading consulting company in Secunda is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer (Pr Eng OR Pr Tech) with substantial project management and design experience. This role will involve working on multi-million Rand industrial projects, providing leadership within the engineering team, and applying extensive knowledge in concrete and steel structure design. Candidates must have at least 8 years of relevant industry experience and necessary qualifications.

Qualifications

• ECSA Registration required.
• Minimum 8 years experience in concrete and steel structure design.
• Previous experience in industrial plant projects (oil&gas, chemical, mining).

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and deliverables.
• Coordinate and manage structural engineering design team.
• Prepare contract administration documentation based on NEC3 / NEC4.

SUMMARY :

Professional Structural Engineer (Pr Eng OR Pr Tech) with proven design and Project Management skills on Industrial Projects such as petrochemical plants, Coal Mining plants etc. required in Secunda. The company has existing large-scale industrial projects of Multi-Million Rands.

POSITION INFO :

Professional Structural Engineer (Pr Eng OR Pr Tech)

The company has extensive knowledge and experience in large-scale industrial projects for Mining and Petrochemical plants.

Projects are rendered on EPCM basis.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements :

• BSc / BEng / BTech (Civil Engineering)
• ECSA Registration
• Minimum 8 years working experience in engineering and design of concrete and streel structures.
• Previous working experience in engineering development, design and construction of a range of projects in industrial plants. (Oil&gas, chemical, mining and power plants)
• Solid knowledge of software (Bentley Microstation and or AutoCAD 3D, Prokon and Revit.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities :

Define and understand specific project scope and deliverables.

Functioning as part of a project team.

Coordinate and manage the structural engineering design team.

Plan and manage the engineering aspects of projects

Prepare contract administration documentation based on NEC3 / NEC4

Detailed structural analysis and design for both reinforced concrete and structural steel-type structure

Review, update and modify drawings.

Technical support during construction.
