Job Description

Role

The job incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  1. Selling, detailing and promoting products, in a designated area, to targeted private sector clients.
  2. Assisting with the organizing and presentation of divisional activities, conferences, speakers, programs and other promotional events in the designated areas and/or nationally.
  3. The implementation of action plans in accordance with the marketing/sales strategy of the Company.
  4. Personally visiting and liaising with relevant targeted clients which are crucial to the performance of the Company, as agreed with the respective Regional Sales Manager/National Sales Manager.
  5. Maintaining a data-base of all targeted clients.
  6. Liaising with the Regional Sales Manager/National Sales Manager with respect to the effective exploitation of the various business opportunities in the designated areas.

Essential Key Skills And Competencies

The ideal candidate must have:

  1. Thorough understanding of the SA Pharmaceutical Industry and knowledge of health care related events.
  2. Be familiar with the Pretoria East, Centurion and Mpumalanga area with established relationships in these pharmacies.
  3. Be able to work a three-to-four-day country trip in and around Mpumalanga (Nelspruit and surrounding areas).
  4. Ability to solidify and expand business relationships.
  5. Ability to convey messages and motivate certain audiences.
  6. Able to efficiently manage budget and resources within the scope of the business model and expense policy guidelines.
  7. Demonstrate the ability to sell products and achieve sales targets.
  8. Demonstrate the ability to learn product/disease entity information.
  9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, high energy organization.
  10. Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing principles.
  11. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  12. Computer literacy.
