Job description

Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable and established property development firm specialising in major projects across South Africa, is currently seeking a Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for projects

  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities

  • Administer tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with JBCC/FIDIC standards

  • Monitor project progress, cost variations, and implement cost-control measures

  • Manage interim and final account valuations and resolve subcontractor claims

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders—including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers—on cost and scope issues

  • Facilitate value-engineering and provide cost-risk analyses throughout project lifecycle

Requirements
  • Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP

  • 5–10 years’ experience in quantity surveying (construction or property development)

  • Degree or BTech in Quantity Surveying

  • Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial tracking

  • Proficiency in QS-specific software (e.g., WinQS, CCS Candy, BuildSmart)

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills
