Professional Quantity Surveyor

Our client in Krugersdorp is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Requirements:

1. National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying
2. Minimum of 5-10 years experience in the civil engineering sector
3. Sound knowledge of civil works (earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete structures, etc.)
4. Familiar with JBCC, NEC, or FIDIC contracts
5. Proficient in MS Excel and QS software (e.g., CCS Candy, BuildSmart)
6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
8. Immediate availability is essential
9. Own transport and valid driver's license required

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and manage cost estimates, tender documentation, and BOQs for civil engineering projects
2. Handle contract administration and progress claims
3. Conduct site measurements and verify contractor claims
4. Manage project budgets, cost control, and reporting
5. Prepare valuations, interim payment certificates, and final accounts
6. Identify and manage variations and project risks
7. Liaise with site teams, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
